In yesterday’s press briefing, Dr. Linda Bell provided the following information on COVID-19 in our state:

😷 183 new cases today (Monday 4-6-20)
😷 Total cases in SC: 2,232 (Monday 4-6-20)
😷 We’ve seen an acceleration in the rate of increase.
😷 The average is now 187 new infections/day, which is up from an average of 90 new infections/day a week ago.

👩‍⚕️ According to SCDHEC, homemade masks may reduce the amount of virus you breathe out and may prevent you from touching your nose and mouth. However, masks are not intended to replace social distancing and handwashing recommendations to combat COVID-19. These are still the best way to stay safe!

I don’t think this mask is my favorite accessory, so I’m probably just staying home! And that’s what the Governor has asked us to do. Don’t go out if you don’t have to! Stay #SimplySafe, Simpsonville!
